Professor is a Genius

An economics professor at a local college made a statement that he had never failed a single student before,
but had once failed an entire class.

--------------------------------------------

That class had insisted that Obama's socialism worked and that no one would be poor and no one would be rich, a great equalizer.

The professor then said, "OK,
we will have an experiment in this class on Obama's plan".

All grades would be averaged and everyone would receive the same grade so no one would fail and no one would receive an A.

After the first test, the grades were averaged and everyone got a B.
The students who studied hard were upset and the students who studied little were happy.

As the second test rolled around, the students who studied little had studied even less and the ones who studied hard decided they wanted a free ride too so they studied little.
The second test average was a D!
No one was happy.

When the 3rd test rolled around, the average was an F.

The scores never increased as bickering,
blame and name-calling all resulted in hard feelings and no one would study for the benefit of anyone else.

All failed, to their great surprise, and the professor told them that socialism would also ultimately fail because when the reward is great, the effort to succeed is great but when government takes all the reward away, no one will try or want to succeed.

Could not be any simpler than that.

Mohawk boys

You can't tell very well, but we gave the boys mohawks the other day. Andrew ALWAYS wants a mohawk, so I tried to help him - and then made him hold still for one minute to take a picture (which is evidently torture to a 4 yo boy).

Aren't they sweeties?

The next Jeremy

Evidently we know how to climb now. I looked around from folding clothes, and this is what I saw.

Oooooh - what does THIS ONE do?

Maybe if I push two at once...?

He has always enjoyed running off with my mouse (the only downside to having a wireless mouse, I suppose), so I'm not at all surprised to see him trying to work the computer.

A Post About Nothing

Why am I posting about nothing?

No clue.

Jeremy's been gone. He will be back tomorrow. This is good news.

He's with our church high school/college choir in Denver, Colorado. He is suffering for the Lord in 75-degree beautiful weather. They really have had an excellent time, and they did a lot of ministering to the children in various neighborhoods. I will post pictures when he gets back.

In the meantime, we have just been hangin' in. Andrea and Nick have come in to visit for a while, and Matthew and Nick are evidently best friends that just hadn't met yet. So, they have been playing and playing and playing. Yesterday we went to Louisiana to a water park, and the kids had a blast. They are asking me if we can go back tomorrow. The answer is no.

So, other than that, I have been working, folding clothes, getting music camp ready, doing laundry, and then doing some more laundry. Can you tell there are seven people living in my house? AJ & Jessi are still with us, and will be through camp. We are all having a good time, but it is SO HOT outside there's nothing to do. So, I guess it's not an entirely bad thing that we still haven't finished school yet. The kids don't have anything else to do anyway.

That's what will take up the rest of our summer. Oh, that and Harry Potter comes out in a couple of weeks, and then Jeremy & I are going to spend the weekend at Navarre Beach in Pensacola to celebrate our TENTH ANNIVERSARY on the 17th. I will post many pictures.
